App permissions
QRX Chat · Why the Android app asks for access
Each permission is used for a feature you can see. QRX Chat does not ask you to turn off battery optimization.
Camera and microphone
Voice and video calls, voice notes, video messages, status, and a photo you take inside the app. The microphone and camera are not used while you are only reading chats.
Notifications and full-screen calls
Alerts for messages, and a full-screen incoming call with a ringtone so you can accept or decline. Vibration is used for that ring.
Calls while the phone is locked
During a live call the app keeps a foreground notification so audio and video can continue if you leave the screen. Screen sharing uses the screen-capture permission only after you start it.
Photos and files
You pick a photo, video, or document with the system picker. The app does not ask for access to your whole gallery or storage.
Bluetooth
So a connected headset can be used on a call.
Network
Internet access is required to send messages and to connect a call.
After restart
The app may start its call listener after the phone restarts, so a later incoming call can still be shown. A push message is also used to deliver the call.
