This Privacy Policy explains what QRX Chat collects, how we use it, and how you can delete it. By creating an account you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Phone number — to create your account and send a one-time login code.
- Profile — name, optional photo, and about text that you choose.
- Messages and media — text, photos, voice notes, videos, and documents you send, stored so they can be delivered.
- Calls — voice and video are carried live so the people on the call can hear and see each other. We do not save a recording of the call. The call log in your chats stores the type, time, and duration.
- Camera and microphone — only while you call, record, or capture something you choose to send.
- People on QRX Chat — you can find someone by phone number. We do not upload your phone's address book.
- Push token — a device token so an incoming call can be delivered to your phone.
- Session — a login cookie so you stay signed in, plus last-seen time.
How we use it
- Messaging, voice and video calls, status, and groups.
- To verify your phone number and keep the account secure.
- To show message and incoming-call alerts.
- To operate the service. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for ads.
Who else processes it
- SMS provider — your phone number is sent so the login code can be delivered.
- Call network — audio and video of an active call pass through our call provider so the call can connect. We do not ask them to keep a recording.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging — the device token, call id, call type, and the caller's display name are sent so the phone can ring.
Sharing
Messages go only to the people you send them to. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect users from harm.
How long we keep it
We keep your account while it is active. When you delete the account, your profile, messages, media, status, group memberships, call participation, and push token are removed. We do not keep a backup you can restore. Short security logs that do not contain your messages may remain for up to 30 days.
Delete your account
You can delete the account in the app under Settings → Delete my account, or on the web at our account deletion page. That page lists what is deleted and what is kept.
Children
QRX Chat is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information. Our standards are on the child safety page.
